Fidget toys

Some people who are autistic/have autism find it hard to concentrate on things and may stim or fidget with their hands or items, this is where fidget toys come in.

The first fidget toy was created in the 1990s with the Fidget spinner which became very popular in 2017, but then became unpopular after about a year due to schools banning them because they could be dangerous.

In 2020 the fidget toy Pop Its become a trend on TikTok, since then more and more fidgets have come out so here is my review on fidgets.

Disclaimer: These are just my opinions and if you have an different opinion then that’s ok, we are all different and we all like different things.

Pop its: Pop its are like a reusable bubble wrap, they come in different shapes, colours and sizes, you press the bubbles like shapes and they make a satisfying sound. It really nice feel to it, and it keeps your hands busy. I really like this fidget, I like the popping them and the sounds it makes, I wouldn’t recommend using them in a quiet place like a library as it can be annoying to some people and you do need to wash them by hand as they will get dirty after a while.

Simple dimple: I couldn’t find out when simple dimples came out but I’m pretty sure it was after the pop it came out, its similar to pop its but it usury as 2 or 3 poppers and is more stiff then pop its. Its smaller than the normal size pop its and easer to handle. I like simple dimples because its easer to take out to places but its not my favourite fidget. The sound is not as nice as the pop its and its louder then pop its.

Infinity cube: Infinity cubes are a shape changing cube fidget toy that can flip and fold an infinite number of times(quoted from google). Its one of my favourite fidgets and can be fun to play with but I wouldn’t recommended for children under 10 as its easy to break and when it does break it has small plastic parts that children could eat or hurt themselves with the sharp edges.

Fidget spinners: fidgets spinners are a small object that can spin around. This is my lease favourite fidget, it has metal parts which hurts if they hit your hands, after a while they get rusty and become very hard to spin and can just stop spinning all together.

These are all the fidgets that will be talking about today, if you guys want me to write about a fidget that I haven’t talked about today please let me know and I can review it.
